Authority & approvals — how you stay in control

This is the system that makes an autonomous tool safe to trust. Every kind of action has a setting:

  • Auto — Knull just does it (e.g. reading data, writing a draft).
  • Auto within budget — Knull does it if it costs less than your limit; otherwise it asks.
  • Confirm — Knull always asks first (e.g. spending money, publishing to the public, deploying a site).
  • Never — Knull won't do it, full stop (e.g. changing ad budgets, if you prefer to own that).

By default, research and drafting run automatically, while anything touching real money or your public presence waits for your yes. When Knull wants to do something above your limit, it queues an approval — a card in your Inbox with Approve and Reject buttons. Nothing happens until you decide. You can change any of these settings whenever you like.

The mental model
Treat Authority like delegating to a trusted but new employee. At first you confirm more. As you see Knull make good calls, you loosen the reins — let it auto-spend up to a higher limit, auto-publish social posts. You're always in charge of how much rope it has.
